We have 168 hours in a week. If we take out 8 hours a day for sleep, that still leaves 112. How much time do we spend in corporate worship? Anywhere from one to four hours. That's a small part of 112 hours; if that's the focus of our ministry, then we shouldn't be surprised when our lives are largely unfruitful.......
Are you serving the King no matter where you are? Where are you living out your Christian life? Sometimes the hardest place to serve Christ is in the workplace. Many jobs are a melting pot for cultural backgrounds, religions and morals so it can be hard to live out the Christian life. It's easy to think that our work.........
Serving Christ in our community means looking for opportunities to love and serve others, just as Jesus did. It means putting the needs of others before our own, and being willing to sacrifice our time, resources, and even our comfort to help those in need.
But how do we serve Christ in our community?........
We are called to serve God in every aspect of our lives, including our relationships with others. In 1 Peter 4:10-11, we read, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.......
What does it mean to serve God through giving? Whether it is our time, talents, or resources, we are called to use what we have been given to bless others and to bring glory to God. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we read, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."......
When we talk about "Beyond Sunday" we are really talking about living a life of service, sold out completely to the Lord! This week we have shown you some examples in our lives where we can take our faith outside of those 4 walls of the church. We are called to live a life of service to others. Jesus himself exemplified..........
