Fear can be a powerful force that can hold us back from experiencing the abundant life that God has in store for us. Whether it's fear of the unknown, fear of failure, or fear of rejection, it can be overwhelming and paralyzing. But the good news is that as Christians, we have access to the power and strength of God to help us overcome fear.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Apostle Paul reminds us that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This verse reminds us that fear does not come from God. Instead, He has given us power, love, and a sound mind to overcome it.
So how do we tap into this power and overcome fear?
A part of the abundant life in Christ is being set apart as holy. In the Old Testament, you saw a lot of different items were reserved as holy and set apart for worship of the Lord. And today, our responsibility is to be set apart for worship. The Bible is very clear that there are some expectations of God's people to behave differently than those who do not know Christ. We're supposed to be different in our thoughts, in our actions, in the way that we handle ourselves, and the way we handle trials.
Living out an abundant life means being filled with joy, peace and contentment! That is easier said than done- it would be fine if nothing bad happened and everything went our way, right? But we know that in this life trials and struggles will come. So how do we combat those? We cultivate gratitude. One of the keys to experiencing this abundance is cultivating gratitude in our hearts. In Psalm 100:4, we are reminded to "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name." This verse encourages us to approach God with a heart full of gratitude and praise......

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you have experienced the abundant life that comes from knowing and following Him. We have been set free from sin and death, and have been given the promise of eternal life with Him. But we are not called to keep this abundant life to ourselves. We are called to share it with others, to make disciples of all nations, and to fulfill God's purposes for our lives.
